It's not an either/or thing. They will have many "agents" that dont know they are on the pay roll. They could be paid or influenced through a cut out. And so on. It's all hidden in plain site. But, there is a way to flip the script. The more they hang out on bitcoin (or nostr) the more they will actually see its a good thing, that helps everyone, just like the interent. People should be WAY more aware, though.

Yeap! They might work for them through the proxy companies but not knowing this. But I don’t think that hang on bitcoin and nostr will help to solve this. The organization itself should be abolished
