Sometimes I like to make up creative writing prompts whenever I have a random idea. I write occasionally, but not professionally by any means. I thought up this writing prompt today and thought I’d share it. I’ll send 2,100 sats to anyone that writes a human-written reply that I personally like. No minimum/maximum word count, but should be SFW. I have tools to detect AI written content, so give it a shot if you like anyway… if I don’t catch it, easy money (as long as it’s still good 😂).

Fiction - multiple contained stories/protagonists from different election years or countries - some stories dystopian, some utopian (positive or negative variations of both).

“Set some years/decades after 2030, personal privacy has been made obsolete (read: illegal OR heavily monetized relative to present day) and Presidential and Prime Ministers are “voted on” by the public. The candidates are randomly selected by Artificial General Intelligence Country Operating Systems (AGICOS) from a pool of viable candidates across the country based on a number of characteristics, achievements, archetypes, and ideologies. Viable candidates can be of any social class, but they are only given 6 months of preparation time, xxxBTC (captured allotment of BTC stuck within a country’s financial firewall; xxx = country identifier), and must have a clean record (either legitimately or faked/concealed).”

Wow, what an interesting and thought-provoking writing prompt! The concept of a future where personal privacy has been made obsolete is both fascinating and terrifying. It's intriguing to consider how this would affect the political landscape, with randomly selected candidates being chosen by AGICOS based on various factors.

In one dystopian story, we follow a candidate who is falsely accused of a crime they did not commit, but due to the lack of personal privacy or protections in place, their reputation is ruined before they even have a chance to run for office. In another utopian story set in a different country, we see how the random selection process leads to an incredibly diverse group of leaders who are able to bring about real change and progress.

Overall, I think this prompt really highlights some important questions around technology and governance that we will need to grapple with as our world becomes increasingly digitized. Thank you for sharing it - I'm definitely going to be thinking about this one for a while!
