Someone working for the fucking government today unironically lectured me about Germany being strict on technological sovereignty while mentioning that they'll setup a Windows laptop with Microsoft 365, a couple of Adobe products (whatever I'll need those for), some Cisco Meeting crap that isn't even WebEx (maybe Jabber is still around?) and various other proprietary bullshit that I won't ever need.

Linux itself won't help much if you still hook it all up to random US companies' services though. Then it'll just a be a thinner (and less shitty) thin client.
So many great FOSS alternatives to almost everything at this point!
Even minecraft has a FOSS version that is (imo) significantly better luanti.org
