I used to want a debit card that would allow me to spend bitcoin directly from an exchange like River or directly from Bitcoin holdings in cash app.

I’ve changed my mind on that. I want Bitcoin front and center. I want “Bitcoin accepted here” signs everywhere. Not back-end Bitcoin spending where I can spend Bitcoin but the world doesn’t even know it exists.

Same here. Realized as well that stuff like gift cards on bitrefill are the same thing. It's just bitrefill that gets the Bitcoin, then probably sells for FIAT to get new gift cards from the shops.

So everything still runs on FIAT except of bitrefill. Not helping Bitcoin adoption.

But I still think that stuff like bitrefill or debit cards on Bitcoin has a use case for some. In terms of savings. It's a kind of a step of a transition.

Not optimal but way better because you avoid monetary inflation. But can pay everything from daily life.
