I still fondly remember when Snowden became a big deal.

Everyone in the country up in arms that the government is spying on them & listening to their phone calls/texts/etc.

Meanwhile down in the South we calmly chuckled as we had been telling them this for years. But when we said it we were crazy because our accents don’t instill a sense of intelligence.
