well I don't see any glorification or lines being drawn here by HODL.

if you have not experienced childhood trauma or don't get what he means, so be it. but, that is not your cue to attack people.

and, it doesn't mean you are dull. he never said that. (stop projecting)

anything difficult that we encounter, merge with, understand, and come out on the other side better is a win. not only for the person who has transformed their suffering but for others who hear their story and don't turn away but listen to better understand the world.

as a person who did experience massive trauma as a child, i am on the same page as HODL. that said, i am not "glorifying" childhood trauma.

i don't think HODL is and i know i am not wearing my suffering like a shield as we see these days with woke teens and young adults from rich failies doing, trying to be like GenXers were in the 1980s. he's pointing to the end of suffering.

if you have had this experience you will know why. we are the nexus of our experiences. there is more "other" in each of us than there is a self. so, en essence the suffering of my past, my understanding of it, and my nonattachment to it have "made" me who i am. if i turn away from it, then i turn away from my life.

i (and HODL but he can speak for himself) mean that learning from it, understanding why it happened, the motivations of the people who did it are the Way.

so perhaps, start listening and not attacking people. there is a difference between asking a question and insulting/attacking people.

this is an open "non"-platform. you have a chance to learn from people who are sharing their lives in honesty. why make it like the divisive mess that other places like FB, X, and the rest are?

i am a man. i am not a girl-man, a man-girl, a fembot, or any of the other "gay" stereotypes. in fact, people's sex lives are probably less than one percent of their week or month in terms of time and yet people seem fixated on some difference that ~5% of us have rather than the other 99% that is the same. i don't ask straight people about their sexual proclivities - it's a rude question and none of my business. so, why is mine their business?
