if a cycle bell is ringing behind you, just move to the right. don't suddenly walk towards the middle and turn around to see who is coming, don't stop your cycle or dog or whatever to switch sides. just go to the right.

the alternative is me zooming past you with 40km/h and scaring you. that would suck as well.
