This actually itches my brain a little.

The most capable men are often the men who learned most of their lessons on their own. But the way society progresses is mostly based on what exists already and how it would benefit from change.

So in one world you have the hardened and self taught who I would guess are less prone to create progress, more are capable of maintaining the world as it is. Which is absolutely necessary, that's my job.

You need those people to keep the world running today but you need those who were mentored to build a more efficient world tomorrow.
