Usualy neither of those things happen. We just hear about them. I know know people who have been up close with a bear many times and it was no big deal.
Just like rattle snakes. They aren't scary if you understand them and have an agreement with them.

This is how averages work.
I don't care about statistics. I know where I stand with animals and I respect them and they respect me. So statistics are irrelevant.
Just like I don't fall into the average with many statistics.
Nor do you.
People coupd fall of ladders 50% of the time and I never do over the course of 50 years. Just as a random example.
