When I learned cash is trash I started looking for a store of value. Then I read the Bitcoin Standard. But it was the #[0] podcast that gave me the conviction to STACK SATS AND HOLD ON FOR DEAR LIFE.
2020 and the Covid market crash led me to start questioning what money was and how the economy worked, the rest is history!
I was in 2011-12. A smart guy at work had programmed all the computers to mine for him and showed me, when the boss learned he had to change the program to “mine” Regexs and it started a whole new business which was successful 😂
Was in and out a bit and only kept a few coins from then 🥲 Got back in during Melbournes 263 days of lockdown. It wasn’t actually Bitcoin though, it was Austrian economics. Dived super deep into that and quickly saw a lot of sense, easy to connect the dots back to Bitcoin there.
When your socialist government goes psycho on Covid and racks up more debt per capita than New York to do so, people ask questions 🤷♂️

For me it was something not related to bitcoin at all… but gold. A video series that explained the history of money. And… how the federal reserve works.. the function of inflation… it blew my mind. The series was a glorified ad for gold. But bitcoin made so much more sense. Perfectly scarce. More so than gold. More environmentally friendly to mine. No cartel controlling stock to flow.
Going to have a crack here and guess it was Mike Maloney's hidden secrets of money? Great docuseries. Core memory was the clip where he says all fiat in history goes to zero. Infinity/21M.
A Robert Kiyosaki presentation circa 2008 on YouTube where he waved a USD note exclaiming it was trash. I was so confused. Then I heard about bitcoin around 2011 and intrigued by fixed supply. It wasn't until I heard Livera's Aussie accent and his supurb guest list that I convinced myself this was the real deal. Not proven wrong yet! #[1]
