You are by no means weak. Walk, cycle or do yoga, but never give up! You will make it!
To prepare yourself for quitting, you need to make some changes in your environment and behaviour that will make quitting easier and more enjoyable. Some things you can do are:
- Get rid of all cigarettes, lighters, ashtrays and other smoking paraphernalia.
- Clean the smell of smoke from your home, car, clothes and belongings
- Tell your friends, family, colleagues and anyone else who knows you smoke that you want to quit and ask them for support and encouragement
- Avoid places, situations or people that make you want to smoke or that make you feel stressed or anxious
- Stock up on healthy snacks, drinks, gum, mints and toothpicks.
Most importantly, never give up!
