I think the more important part of the Canadian Parliment applauding SS Nazis story is that after they got caught, the Prime Minister tried to blame it on the Russians (huh?!?),

they had the journalist who exposed the Nazis identity arrested, and are trying to delete the Wikipedia page explaining who the Nazi is.
