Have you ever tried egg-nog ? I thought that it would be awful , but it's delicious if you make it yourself . It's like boozy custard with spices in , good in small amounts , very rich , drink it the way you would drink a Baileys or something like that .

I don't know what an OptiPlex is , doing a quick search for it now . Why do you look for these devices specifically ?
OptiPlex is a brand of Dell desktops that are commonly used in business and the primary reason that I get these from eBay is because normally large corporations are liquidating old models for dirt-ass cheap.
So for instance I got my current node for around $85 and I also had to buy an SSD so for around $200 I was able to get a fairly robust node up and running.
And I run damn near everything on that node. Mempool, core, LN, Electrum, RTL, LNbits.
I have a Raspiblitz node and run quite a bit on it , but I think that it has it's limitations , will look into this solution with the Optiplex .
Looking deeper too. eBay especially.
I've bought "refurbished" optiplex models from Newegg with SSDs pretty cheap.
One that wasn't supposed to have an OS came with Win10, or was that my Lenovo laptop? 🤔

Wiped it back to factory install, and no security concerns.
yeah that's why I specifically try to buy the ones without hard drives in them. I just plop in a hard drive and spin up Debian and call it a day.
The Pi is nice to tinker but mini PC is best if you're planning on running channels
