What if the gods we’ve honored throughout history were actually aliens, possessing advanced technology that makes them seem god-like?

Some might be benevolent, guiding us, while others could exploit humanity for their own needs.

Just as we use less intelligent animals to fulfill our purposes, why wouldn’t a more advanced extraterrestrial civilization do the same with us?

In that sense, could they be our creators? Are we hybrids, engineered to serve these "gods"?

Anything is possible. Humans hardly know anything with certainty.

These thought experiments draw me into some intriguing depths of contemplation. 🫨

It’s a really interesting idea. The movie Prometheus touches on these theories. Seems a lot more plausible than all religions šŸ˜‚

If we can manipulate genetics and create new organisms, it’s not too far-fetched to think that a more advanced civilization might have done something similar with humanity. šŸ¤”

Agreed. And think of how easily they could trick / manipulate / guide humans if that were the case.

It stands to reason that they could shape our beliefs and values to align with their agendas.

Absolutely. Could make a great sci-fi series. Great dramas a-plenty like a schism in the alien society who ā€œmanagesā€ humanity and subsequent infighting on how to best do this.

There could be rogue factions, one with empathy for humanity. Another contempt. Bitcoin could have been an unauthorized upgrade covertly planted by the party with empathy.

I'm liking this plot already. Let's make a movie :)

This man needs to read The 12th Planet. It’s….whoa.

So I'm onto something... Time to go balls-balls deep into another rabbit hole!

Do it! It’s a strange one but I can’t stop thinking about it.

It resonates within you therefore there's a ring of truth to it.

I'm intrigued now: It's time for a new book.

Thank you.

You’ve read Zecharia Sitchin then? :)

Yes, my first encounter with him was yesterday in fact.

Currently reading: The Wars of Gods and Men.

Who created the aliens then?

If we keep pulling at this thread,

we ultimately arrive at the Source Creator.

A singular, all-encompassing Being that unites us all, the source of our eternal inner light -- GOD, if you will.

Indeed. The chances of life spontaneously emerging from inanimate chemicals is just about zero.
