Did I say that I don't believe in paying taxes? If I evade taxes then people will see me as just as much of a moocher as some fatass living off welfare. Also, who thinks tax evasion is immoral? Please tell me it's you, that would be hilarious. The truth is that tax evasion is about as immoral as voluntarily choosing to be a penniless bum who can't pay taxes in the first place!
Why is the idea of private individuals collectively pooling enough resources "highly unlikely" to you? You certainly seem to care a lot about the suffering of underpriveleged individuals. As a member of the private sector, don't you already choose to voluntarily donate some of your income after taxes? And if you didn't have to pay the social security tax, wouldn't you increase the amount that you donate to match?
And you keep talking about the consent of the collective public. Who are those people? Do you believe it's their will to put that much taxpayer money toward welfare? How many of the collective American public do you think would prefer just a little less welfare?
