imo, that’s a bad take. youtube is the world’s biggest education platform. sure it’s centralized and filled with garbage content, and even i’ve criticized it many times here on nostr. but still that doesn’t justify ignoring the user experience for ppl who simply want to share videos.
I can accept that you think it’s a bad take and I’m glad you share your opinion. I think telling nostr devs that integrating YouTube is a core function that must be prioritized over building other nostr native functions is a bad take. My guess is they listen to neither of us and do whatever they want. That’s what I’d do if I wrote code😎
well they can do whatever they want for sure but if that’s the case, nostr will stay an isolated platform with only a few hundred active users. it’s not just about youtube videos, it’s about making nostr integrated with the world whether you like it or not. by the way they already integrated youtube links but it’s buggy and barely works
