Replying to Avatar Matt

I like MIT because it's concise. But the GPL licenses are good too. The Free Software Foundation has a list of permissive licenses they support. They're all decent enough, but not as concise as MIT.

I love MIT's conciseness! however, from a developer perspective, I prefer the GPL license, because of its copyleft nature, unlike MIT that allows for closed-source derivatives (think IME, Minix).
