After days of cleaning I have started to paint the bottom inside the boat. Often the most severe rust attacks origin from the inside of a steel boat. As was the case with Tilde.

Previous owners had sprayed a foam inside to get some insulation, but this also doubled as a sponge, trapping water resulting in galvanic corrosion. This now gets rectified with smooth white paint. This way any issues will be easy to spot.
