hello nostr:npub1ye5ptcxfyyxl5vjvdjar2ua3f0hynkjzpx552mu5snj3qmx5pzjscpknpr i really like that you changed icons from round to square with rounded edges. it's a worthy upgrade - i am not being sarcastic at all.

however, the bright color outline on the icons has to go. it completely changes the look of the avatars as it was intended to look by the users.

our goal should be for the avatars to look as the user intended. in this way square with rounded edges is a step forward. but bright color outline is two steps back.

there should either be no outline, a black outline or a very thin color outline if you MUST use color to convey some status information or whatever.

the thick bright color outline completely blows the avatar itself away. the brain focuses on the outline not the avatar, making all avatars look the same if you squint.

i also think avatars could be bigger, but i mentioned that point before.

i suppose with the color you're trying to convey whether the account is "verified" or not, but the little check mark or exclamation point in the corner is already doing this.

there is absolutely no need to also have the color outline, especially one that obnoxious.

i would also maybe move the check mark / exclamation point away from the avatar - maybe closer to the text handle.

the graphics on the avatar shouldn't have anything else competing with them for the same reason why me and you and all normal people don't have face tattoos !
