It's not just the bank that's at fault - it's the entire system, the culture
Imagine from childhood, you are taught to go to school but there are standards - why not the same education for everyone, if they really wanted to build a good, functioning society?
Then they grow up, start dating and are lured into nonsensical dating standards like expensive restaurants and stuff, then the guy needs to propose with a pricey diamond ring, without a guarantee that the girl will say yes, even if they've been living together?
Then comes marriage, grand marriages are favored. For what? Just to divorce after a short while? Neither of the two sides win, as separation is never a good thing. Who benefits from it? The jewelry store, the caterer, the tailor, the wedding planner, the flower shop, the divorce lawyer. They are the ones laughing themselves on the way to the bank
Then there's the therapists. A good family support system should be enough, and when people find out they're seeing a sink, they're thought of as psychologically-challenged or something. Again, it's the therapist laughing themselves on the way to the bank
It's not just the bank. It's the system, the culture, that rotten way of life. When everything is pushed into your throat, with that in-your-face threat that if you don't swallow it, you're out
It's never too late to change for the better, as no matter how deep the rabbit hole may be, not all hope is lost.
