Bastiat’s, “The Law” reminded me a lot of Fransisco D’Anconia’s money speech in Atlas Shrugged.

The only legitimate reason for law is to prevent injustice. In this instance, injustice is defined as "plunder", or any removal or redistribution of life, liberty, or property.
