Bitcoin not crypto rant.

I spent 15 minutes at the last bitcoin Meetup in Lisbon explaining the difference between web 3 and bitcoin to a noobie.

So many noobies still come into the space and they see bitcoin as part of a suite of internet tokens. “It’s a portfolio product just like ETH of sol and it’ll decentralise the internet.”

He didn’t hold his keys; he used coinbase.

I don’t wanna preach so I was asking questions to the dude rather than lecturing… but oh my days it’s getting tiresome 🥱

I’m increasingly sympathetic to the people who pine for regulators to say “there is bitcoin, and then there are securities.”
