This month I'll be using my steampunk, slice-of-life, erotica novel "The Shape of Veronica".

"Slice-of-life" means there's no antagonist, just problems to be overcome. But most of those problems are caused by her parents. Who we never meet.

Having a disabled daughter, they hid her in a gilded cage.

Sympathy? At least they didn't put her in an asylum.
