Imagine you’re playing a game with your friends. Some people might pretend to be hurt or upset so they can get attention or sympathy from others. That’s like faking being a victim. It’s much harder to pretend to be really good at something or successful, like being the best at a game (or a millionaire).

mcshane is saying that it’s more important to actually *work hard* and achieve things in real life than just talk about being aware of social issues (that’s what “wokeness” means). Real accomplishments matter more than just having “good” ideas or beliefs.

He warns against letting the government control and watch over everything we do, like always keeping an eye on us. We shouldn’t be tricked into thinking that it’s better to have everything the same for everyone, because that can take away our freedom and stop us from growing.

Work hard, earn sats, take chances, and surround ourselves with people who want to get better and achieve more. Always keep moving forward, trying to improve ourselves.
