I wouldn't say that but I would say that the "ba" contained within BAptism, kabBAlah, and merkaBAh are all the same "ba" and all of these areas do relate to one another. I Imagine that before an initiate was baptized, they were probably educated on Egyptian mystery teachings such as Kabbalah or the Merkabah symbol.
What I'm saying is that there is a scientifically measurable and verifiable brain oscillation that can be induced in a person under the right circumstances and the modern practice ain't it.
