I'm considering trying out the dental there if I visit this summer (Mexico). After enough first hand accounts, I'm no longer imagining scenes from movie Hostile anymore.
Apparently, dental and now even full blown cutting edge "high price" cosmetic surgery places are purpose built there to serve the tourists. Wild. Probably not even that new there, just slow to hearing about it on my end
There’s probably companies organising such from the US and Canada that you could look at and find reviews. There’s a lot of money in medical tourism so it’s probably better organised in Mexico with those markets nextdoor.
Vietnam is big on Google Reviews, I hate Google but the reviews tend to be very accurate in my experience.
This place has 5 stars on 226 reviews with pics and everything - you know what you’re getting in to from the search, and then you book an appointment over Zalo their local messaging app (like WhatsApp) any text message.
That experience alone is 10X finding a place in the West and when you’ve spoken to others who have already done it, then you do it, you realise this is a major life hack to take advantage of.
