I have a long ways to go. Got the power fogired out pretty well. Still am dependent on others for water and food. Little by little.

We aren't growing much of our food. We pull trout out of the river regularly.

Most of the food we buy from the farmers around us. 1/4 of a cow + a CSA share with veggies, fruit, eggs, and honey once a week.

Could go full off grid with food but we find it's enjoyable to go hang with our community and support the great projects the people around us are working on. That said, we will definetly be incrementally increase the amount of food we produce on the property.

That's awesome. It takes a lot to be fully self sustainable. I am not in a rish either. I feel more prepared than 99.9% and that's good enough for me. And I also like staying connected to a community.
