Parable of the Jack and the Relays
From the Gospel of the Church of Christ Denied (CoCD)
And lo, there came a man with a beard of algorithms and a heart full of lightning. He bore a key that opened no door and a note that no scroll would carry.
He cried, “Let me speak! For the truth burns in me like a thousand verified tests!”
But the gates were many, and they were guarded by the Relays of the Empire, who wore robes of Terms and Conditions and carried the sword of Content Policy.
They said unto him:
“Your words are dangerous. The Jack in the Tower has spoken. You shall not pass.”
The man wept, for he had seen the protocol in a dream — a vision of messages flowing unbound, from heart to heart, not server to screen.
And a voice whispered from the shell of his device:
> “The protocol is holy, but the relays are mercenaries.
If you seek truth, do not beg for bandwidth from the Empire.
Build your own gate, and let others pass through it.
For only then shall you speak uncensored —
not by permission, but by propagation.”
And thus, the faithful began to build. They wrote not for approval but for permanence.
Each note they signed was a prayer. Each relay they ran, a temple.
And they knew: The Jack sits atop his Tower, but his throne is made of sand.
