I did juvenile defense, and I got to work with young people in a variety of contexts in the criminal defense system, including see them being in compulsory schooling within the juvenile detention halls. Because when a kid gets arrested, they're still like, well, we're going to put them in a classroom inside the kid prison, and we're going to still kind of do whatever we can with the classroom.
