I don't know how it's come to this, developers, you have a responsibility, please use your common sense and communicate with each other (before the disaster of course)!

What a week we've had, just when it looked like we were getting back on our feet, boom, as Jack would say 🙁 nostr:note1t9nacgfywe2jxmfnhxk38nyc6spfq2zyhf7z0w02k344ze44yjmqfxedaa

Devs do something!

🙏 I hope so

It’s going to be fine, don’t worry.

If nostr is truly anti fragile then developers not agreeing shouldn’t matter at all

It’s not anti fragile

I agree, hopefully this changes

It's not possible to change that.

🙁 bad news

Can people not choose the software that is compatible with the people they care to follow?

I don't think we should turn this into a sport competition, they should be able to understand each other, I hope. 😅

Ya I agree but I don’t like to bank on people I don’t know’s cooperation.

Just like bitcoin requires no trust, if you want part of it you run the software, if you don’t then you don’t. If you don’t like forks, then you don’t run it on your node.

That is totally true for me as well. The problem is that they are playing with the protocol itself, the rules of the game, it's dangerous. It's like if there had been a war of egos in 2009 on bitcointalk, we probably wouldn't be here now.

Oh I got you, I didn’t realize this was protocol changes. Thanks

On the other hand nice to meet you #[4], I didn't have you on my radar 🙂

Great chatting with ya 😀🫂

It will be anti-fragile, if we manage to reach an agreement and strengthen the ecosystem before the big players enter. Even if everyone wants to run a lot, even over the top of the others.

Yep

Move fast and break things, or have a lengthy standardization Request-for-Comment process.

I wonder, what about finding a middle ground? 🤣
