Another unpopular opinion. I'm not very judgemental person, but I perceive people who drink alcohol (including beer and wine) the same way as if they were smoking meth, crack or were just casually injecting heroin in the pub, just for better socializing.

I still don't want to ban alcohol (and neither the other mentioned substances), but I tend to leave this social interaction rather sooner.

It's basically a way to KYC yourself to the world. My guess is people don't question this phenomenon because in today's world we are surrounded by psychopaths that care nothing about others.

From a sober person view most conversations often stop making sense after everyone is about 2 beers deep. So it makes sense for you to not waste your time and leave.

But yep, "I like me some" 🍺🍻🍺🍻🍺 so... guilty.

I've been to Iran and during Ramadan of all times. A whole month. As a casual drinker myself I thought it would be good to abstain for a month but somehow I got offered this forbidden substance all the time. There it was a statement against the mullah regime and people assumed that this guy from Germany must miss beer. I did not touch any of those "German beers" although I was curious and felt rude to decline.

Just another poison. And weirdly acceptable or tolerated by most of society. It is 100% poison. Almost the same word as "prison". Interesting.
