Is it normal to travel with your own security guard in Costa Rica? I was there earlier this year, traveling alone and I never felt like I needed one
No. I don't think have ever seen someone with a security guard. It's not that violent but has little punishment for crime as far as I have seen. It's likes there's a lack of deterrance but it is mostly theft. Recently a little more violence in the drug scene
