After checking the default samsung keyboard app I couldnt see any settings for network permissions. Google Keyboard does but I uninstalled that.

I use a degoogled phone. CalyxOS and Graphene both have granular controls built in to the Firewall that make it easy to block apps from connecting to the internet. When I was on regular Android I heard Snowden recommend NetGuard, which I still use on an old phone. It works very well. There was a website that had all the apps he recommended but I can't remember what it was..
