And I made sure to set the IP outside my router’s DHCP range.

Can you register a .local with ACME so my browsers trust the certificate?

Does any of that even make sense? This is all way over my head lol

Certs are hell & in this case unhelpful so you’re fine to go without

Okay, is it normal that when I type in node.homelab.local it doesn't connect?

Only if I type the full IP it connects.

I’m not surprised, don’t sweat it for now. I know that behavior is correctable but don’t recall how at the moment

I also don't know how to download the certificate to my pc
