I agree completely. While to some extent I like that people that have an idea and don't have the skills or means to make it can still be creative, but it unfortunately ends up like you described.

I try to dig up tracks for a weekly V4V music playlist, and the out now tab on Wavlake is getting more and more clogged with AI generated album art and music. I guess we'll see if the trend shifts back to proof of work over time.

I just tried making a playlist with LnBeats, and this is gonna get real fun

If you hit the demu button by the search bar, it’ll highlight music hosted outside of wavlake

I didn't realize LnBeats had that option, thanks! Discovering new songs can be a bit of a challenge, especially since I haven't found a good way to filter what's already out there.

By the way, thanks to your suggestion I discovered that Lara Price just put one of her songs on LnBeats! She does a few different genres, but I've been enjoying her blues albums for a while now. Fingers crossed for the rest of her music to show up!

What I like about the Demu button is it still shows everything posted in chronological order, meaning new feeds show up right there. I’ve found that this has helped make a more intimate experience interacting with the music and learning the catalog.

Good to know, thank you!

I'm not against AI when used as a force multiplier tool. This guy here is using it in a very creative way I can get behind, and if you watch his behind the scenes videos, he's putting hours of work into what he does. The tool is an extension of his creativity, not a surrogate for it.

Extension of creativity is how I would view it as well. I've seen a few of his videos linked here and there, he's got some good ideas.
