Correct me if I’m wrong but I heard the only change is that it won’t be mandatory to accept bitcoin, which in my opinion is not a bad thing bitcoin is supposed to be permissionless the government should not force you to accept it.

If acceptance isn’t mandatory is it still legal tender?

Not sure but to me bitcoin is voluntary you should only use it if you chose to. The vendors that want to accept it can still accept it but those that don’t for whatever reason are not required.
