Not a neocon and there’s a wide space between Republicrat interventionism and isolationism.

Yes, not our border but neighbors ARE our concern.

I typically get more nuance from you, Jack.

This doesn't require nuance at this point. If you are not informed about this dispute and the 9 year old civil war, you don't wish to be. And Europe is not "our neighbors". You are thinking of say Canada and Mexico if you use that word.

Been a long week. Don’t know if you care at this point but:

I don’t know what “this” is in the first sentence but my “This” does require nuance. Eastern and Western Europe are most certainly our neighbors. What happens there affects us. Yes, the history leading up to now is relevant and an example of the US not being a good neighbor. Nothing excuses Russia’s invasion but we could have done things to make Putin invading less likely (I get treaty of Versailles vibes here). Yes, Ukraine does not contain any of our borders so treating the “special operation” like an invasion of the US is incorrect. What happens there concerns us. What is in our best interest and what is in the best interest of Ukraine should be considered. The best move here is not obvious. It’s starting to remind me of the war in Syria where the war was the greatest enemy of the people.

What would you do/ what needs to happen to bring the war to an end?
