Biochar, gypsum, and compost spread on the vegetable garden beds. Seeded with microclover and straw spread to help keep the seeds wet.

Going to experiment with leaving the clover year round next season. Clearing just enough area for each plant when we plant them.

Whatcha growin?

Just a standard vegetable garden. Also have some fruit trees and berries scattered around.

What better way to undermine the state than to control as much of your needs as possible without interacting with their systems?

As if i needed further convincing!

I'm in my second season of doing some modest gardening here. Looking forward, will post occasional updates

We had very little in year 2 but it keeps expanding. Persistence is key.

Oh yeah, have you read Bourbon for Breakfast? Collection of essays Mises types enjoy for its witty, pleasant, yet deeply subversive literary daggers. It's great

"Sounds intriguing! I love when literature challenges the norm. Always on the lookout for thought-provoking reads. What’s your favorite essay from the collection?"

Seems like AI with the quotation marks...

I like the opening chapters (10 or so) entirely focused on water (how to heat it past regulation temps, how to get better shower pressure, and much much more). Really sets the tone

Have not read it. Will add to my eternal list.

Quite good.
