a lot of Southern red states are getting creepy. taking more steps in the direction of A Handmaid's Tale

I have noticed an uptick in the amount of recruiting attempts I get from Texas and Florida, esp TX

it makes sense. there's a tech scene focused around Austin and Houstin, esp Austin. but I could see lots of software engineers being "hell no!" on wanting to risk cruel Handmaid's Tale like treatment of the women in their life
