Subnostr

I built a nip-05 validation component and found out that many "nip-05 validation" services actually don't have the necessary .well-known/nostr.json file hosted on their domains. 😬

I've started pinging a few of the more well known ones, assuming positive intent and hoping this is some sort of mistake...

Do you mean a large file with all users? I am not sure if that is a requirement of NIP05

🤦‍♂️ I just realized that some of the services are using get params in the URL to fetch the name in question. OK OK, fire drill minimized.

Yep, I always use the get parameter. Small jsons are fine, but I don't want to parse 1000s of people all the time.

Which ones are you running into that dont? Im here trusting my client (amethyst) to do these checks and every now and then see accounts that dont validate
