Probably a better word than “love” as that word has been diluted to the point of meaninglessness.

I was taught love had nothing to do with my emotions growing up. Love is a choice backed by action to bring about the good of others.

Feelings are so ephemeral they don’t carry much value. Finding someone who loves you when they’re madder at you than they’ve ever been - that’s valuable.

Happy to hear you were taught that.

My childhood was … well it made me fierce.

My stepmother & father definitely loved us & did all possible to give us a better life. They are loving humans who admit to their mistakes & always sought to do better … and have. My deepest respect to them for that.

My life has always been different than others but now it all makes sense. Finally content to live my purpose. ❤️

Finding both purpose and peace with it is a beautiful thing. I’m so happy to hear you found that.

I enjoy your posts in my feed. Thanks for that. 🫂
