One famous moment is from Star Trek IV: The voyage home where he responds "I have beamed whales aboard Broth of Loden Vegetable," which was hilarious as the rest of the crew looks at him in confusion because this must have been funniest non sequitur they've heard from Mr Spock yet. Logic and humour isn’t really generally associated with each other but somehow command staff back then seemed to be adept in them!
