Emergency chicken run is up, luckily we had extra metal fencing laying around. Just need to throw some wire on top. The run is much smaller than what the chickens are used to, but should be more secure. Also thinking about getting another dog, and keep him in the larger, old run. #homesteading #chickens #bobcat

Oh no. Did you have a predation issue recently?
A bobcat has been taking the chickens. Ran off with in broad daylight yesterday, but we chased him down and he dropped the chicken. He's killed several already. Trapping hasnt worked so far.
What happened to the stray dog you had?
We couldnt control her, had no basic obedience. First time we walked her she took off. We ended up getting a free puppy from nearby, i've been working on training her. But she's still a puppy.

Training a puppy is hard, they have so much energy..! 😅
