i was watching a car build on an old audi gt5000 (quattro) the other day and the guy sent the intake manifold back to germany for some work and they sent it back with golf ball dimples instead of just a smooth bore. aids in air flow, just like the exterior of the golf ball. coolest thing i ever saw. didnt show them doing it, but obviously a cnc bot made those dimples.
