GM. I have a no kyc cat that is based af. He’s never gotten a vaccine and he isn’t scared of shit. He’s small as fuck and he chases after the neighbor’s dog which is 4 times his size. He hunts anything he can find outside and I’ve seen him eat multiple mice and birds. His fur NEVER sheds. He’s never vomited a fur ball. He loves being held and is comfortable around house visitors even if he’s never seen them before. Kyc is the illicit activity. Here is yesterday’s proof of work:

One of mine brought home a live flying squirrel a couple summers ago. That was a delight catching in the house. Thankfully it seemed to be a bit dazed (though completely unharmed) so he wasn't moving as fast as one usually does. And would have loved to witness him catching it. Flying squirrels don't tend to be on the ground very much so I would assume it was quite the thing to see. He seems to love snake meat though. He finds them outside like its his only job in the world and eats most of em. On the other hand, his brother is more like Garfield than a killer😂
That’s fucking wild haha the craziest things I’ve seen through the years are a gopher, a few hummingbirds, and a fucking bunny. Lizards are the most common. Cats are just sneaky motherfuckers. They’ll hide in trees and wait until their prey comes to them. Cats are low time preference 😂

Most effective predators on land imo. As to why mine are so different, I couldnt even begin to guess. Even as kittens the difference was noticable. Maybe just all the mixed genetics that come from a line of stray city cats (the parents were found outside by a friend and taken in). They're even built differently. The hunter (Ziggy) is lean like a cheetah where as Smokey is built like a tiger so that's part of why I lean to the mixed genetics being part the cause.

No they siblings. Just cats are wierd with genetics passing on, in part because a single female can be impregnated by multiple males at the same time, so for all I know, two of my friend's male cats got the mom knocked up.
Oh yeah that’s true. Actually now that I think about it, I had a female cat that got pregnant once and all her babies were black. But she has some white spots that you can only see up close. Her babies were like that too. There is a cat in the neighborhood always hanging around that is black so I assumed that was the dad. She got pregnant a second time and they were all black again. But the third time she got pregnant, she had kittens that were black and two different kittens that were white with gray paws. Like a Siamese. I assumed it was possible because she had some white spots. But it came out of nowhere and still didn’t really make sense. Eventually I saw another cat that was white. But I assumed that it was just one cat that knocked her up. Your explanation makes more sense. She was a little slut 😂
hahahaha. My two have similar fur patterns, but different coloring. And they had a sister that my mom didnt take (they were hers until she passed) that was pure white. Definitely a mixed batch to say the least

My friend and his roommates had this cat that was crazy hyper and wouldn’t fucking sit still. So they puffed a bunch of weed they were smoking in her face. She laid there and chilled the fuck out for hours. It was kinda fucked up but also funny. Idk if it’s bad for them but that cat wasn’t going to hunt shit for the rest of the day lol
All mammals have a endocannabinoid system. I doubt its harmful in any way (aside from the obvious smoke part). A friends dog used to eat it if we left any on the table and loved the shit. One crinkle of a baggie and she would be there waiting for her share😅

Shit, forgot that was a thing for pets. Well there ya go. Yea like I said, the smoke part itself is the only harmful part if ya get a pet high that way. And the way I see it, they would flee in terror (especially a cat) if they found it unpleasant. Funny thing about people who want to scream abuse over such things, I bet a large portion of them abuse their pets with a shit diet so they can save their whining for someone who gives a fuck as far as I am concerned

for real. I do giver mine kibble in between real cat food feedings, but its quite pricey and nothing in it they shouldnt eat. Im particular about what I consume, so I treat them the same way. In fact, if needed for some reason, I would sacrifice my diet to be sure theirs stays the same. If I gotta eat raman for a few days so they can eat good, so be it. Although some of their canned food I get them I would certainly try if needed, and one I have already. Chicken in broth, nothing more, and it was quite tasty😂
I wouldn’t sacrifice my diet for the cats. Their stomachs are more acidic than ours. A couple meals of their shitty kibble is more tolerable for them. But yeah you can get your pets to eat scraps if you start them on it early on. I had a cat that ate literal chicken bones. They have some dried pet food with clean ingredients but more expensive for sure!
No meaning I would not buy bottom shelf kibble for them then buy myself good food. They are weird about human food for some reason and there were a few times when things were rough for me and bought them cheap shit. I just felt horrible about it. A few day fast is another option instead of ramen. But I just can't do that to them. I wouldnt do it to my children if I had any and treat my pets no differently. They have never been sick and havent been to the vet since they were kittens and I plan on keeping it that way. All that said though, ideally Im never in that positon again😉
My cat should meet your cat. She's not scared of shit either. Every once in awhile a bat will get in thru the attic and she goes after it hard. Climbing furniture so she can jump at it. 😂
Dude it’s wild. All instinct, no fear. Never hesitates and just lives in the moment. I can’t imagine living without a cat. If you didn’t have one, you’d have to call an exterminator to come get that bat or chase it around with a broom 😂

Being fixed makes them less aggressive but I think it’s worse if he’s spoiled or not trained properly.
Unfortunately, he didn't come to stay with us until he was about 3. Long story, but stepson came to live with us. And son didn't train him properly when he was a pup. I've gotten him more in order, and he knows who's in charge, but still has a stubborn streak about getting his way. And my wife spoils the shit outta him. When she thinks I'm not paying attention. 😂🤷
Doesn't shed too bad though. Overall, he's a good dog.

It’s such an annoying thing to deal with. Have you found any solution for it? I only have one cat from the shelter who got all his vaccines. He’s sheds nonstop year round.
She only sheds during spring and summer, when she’s mostly outside anyway. We considered scheduling a grooming appointment for her this spring, but then realized they might require proof of vaccination😆
That’s pretty ridiculous lmao I’m sure you can find one of those mobile grooming services to do it. Small business owners can’t really afford to discriminate over that. Plus if she was fixed when you found her, she probably already got vaccines.

Reminds of the little cats I met at the Refugio’s in Patagonia. They were small, friendly, clearly never vaxxed and I saw them constantly killing. Watched one catch a bird out of the air.

My dad would whistle every time we fed him, and after a while you could whistle outside the house with the same tune, and he would come running from wherever he was.
Maybe I should get another. My neighbours cat shits on our grass. He wouldn't do it if I had my own to patrol the garden.
You can always put out some cat food and see if a cat shows up to eat it. Then it’ll just hang around by your house. That’s the cheaper way but it may just bring a raccoon or possum instead 😂
