I wasn't planning to marry. I was reflecting on how it becomes more difficult to fit in with your old friends because they all got married and if you don't, you seem like the "third wheel" and it's awkward. I don't personally like the social atmosphere. But that's not reason enough to do something stupid just to fit in. That's something that most "respectable" men get talked into even if they're otherwise intelligent, but I wouldn't allow that to override good sense.

Anyway, Elon got married three times, twice to the same woman, and all of the marriages failed despite him being the most successful man on the planet. I don't have the fortitude to attempt what Elon failed at. Marriage is a shearing operation in the contemporary West anyway.

I'm actually not insecure about my ability to get a hot girl, it's just that I'm too practical for marriage to make much sense. Maybe it was different in the old days but considering how it is now, I don't have enthusiasm.
