Wish me luck! This misty mountain mug has been covered with white glaze and is going into the kiln.

This is attempt #2 to get a beautiful effect! Where the black iron oxide (FeO) has been painted under the studio’s white glaze, a misty blue color is supposed to form like on the test tile (third photo). The studio recommends this glaze be applied thickly for best results, but I seem to have applied it much TOO thickly the first time, and the results are the mess you can see in the last photo 😱… I was more careful this time and can’t wait to see if it comes out the way I hope!
