Plebphone Shop will be up end of this month.

Shop itself is ready, just gotta wait on the fiat mines for the funds to get stock.

Vanilla GrapheneOS only to start.

PlebOS option to come after.

100% serious this ain't just a throwaway idea this is happening.

Plebphone. Plebos. 👀

I am probably going to play with flashing the phone myself. I wouldn't like to miss another reason for my wife to be mad at me for wasting my time.

what would you recommend?

second hand pixel 6? 6a?

6 or 6 Pro. The 6a lags on Graphene, not enough RAM.

And by all means if you're comfortable flashing it yourself do so! This is more to help people who feel uncomfortable doing it themselves.

It's not for profit too. Revenue will be donated to GrapheneOS team and other privacy and freedom causes like Tor Project and Free Ross.

Pixel 6 is on the way :D

6a really? Not starting anything or spitting feathers over it, but I use a 6a. This a Nostr specific issue? Curious...

Mine doesn't lag. Isn't it an issue with your nostr client or other applications you are using?

Poxel arrived

Sick. DM if you want help loading GrapheneOS but if you've fucked with Android ROMs before I'm sure you won't need to 👌

GrapheneOS loaded (it was super easy)

but what do I do now?

Depends. You def wanna get an F-Droid client. I recommend Neo Store (you can find it on GitHub) it's wayyyy better than the official F-Droid app.

Once you have it go into settings > repositories and activate the ones you like. I definitely recommend IzzyOnDroid it's way better than the official F-Droid repo.

The rest comes down to if you want a de-googled phone or not. Remember if you do install Google Play Services it's all sandboxed on GrapheneOS.

You can also install them in a second user which is totally walled off from the main one.

man!

this is awersome!

I will be looking for iphone app replacements for next few weeks :)

Enjoy man! You got a great setup now!

I know what some of you might be thinking.

"Why should I trust you? You could preload spyware on the phones!"

You don't have to trust me!

GrapheneOS publishes the SHA256 sums for the verified bootloader keys. These show up when the phone boots. If the key matches what's on the official GrapheneOS site, you know the ROM hasn't been tampered with.

https://grapheneos.org/articles/attestation-compatibility-guide

In case you're worried anything could have been installed in userspace (normally on the phone, not built into the ROM) you can ofc just factory reset.

This gives you 100% cryptographic assurance there's no tampering.

10% of each sale will be donated in BTC to GrapheneOS to fund the project that makes all this possible!

I really can't wait to launch this!

Looking forward to it.

I've been thinking for a while about a second phone for secure stuff and without Google
