I really think we, the music community, need to do better. After all we're the ones creating the value and attracting "consumers" for spotiface and the likes of it. Why should we be their promoters? It's especially important that people like us, who are privileged to even know about alternatives, take a stance in our communication. That's my opinion anyways lmao.
I agree with your viewpoint I just don't think you'll manage to reach any of them if you only post on platforms they don't know about
