I wonder if you have any advice how to get doctors to take you seriously and get hormonal tests done ?

Context PMS, chronic stomach ache and edema 👀

It’s half a year waiting lists for private endocrinologist and gynecologists/psychiatrists just tell me to take hormonal contraception without doing any tests.

After nearly two months I had every side affect plus those that are not on the box and no improvement on any fronts ..

hi nostr:npub1tlacuxmtv2wqud9qz0ujnr4mqavmnz3ayspfj93jr40tgf2mvu6seax3y7, this is a very important question, because many women feel not seen and heard, and many doctors do a 1 size fit all with the pill. First thing is that the pill doesn't regulate your hormones. it shuts them off. Second, we need to know why symptoms are happening, do that we can address it's root causes. Many times hormone tests are within range, so doctors don't know what else to do. So, you have to prepare yourself, log your symptoms, and see the patterns yourself, before you show them to the doctor. For example: I noted that for 3 consecutive cycles, I'm experiencing edema 1 week before my period....something very concrete. I will write a post about this. I just need a few days, as I am at the Oslo Freedom Forum this week. But will do that so more people can see the answer.
